from eBay Summary: I purchased this camera used with Christmas money and can honestly say it was money incredibly well-spent. I do a lot of photography where I mainly shoot photographs of people just "doing their thing" and have found it a great camera for this application. It''s also my choice for when I go into the studio when I want to use a 35mm camera. For both of these applications, it has enough bells and whistles to make it fairly easy to get the photograph I expect, but not enough to distract me from the photograph. I must admit, however, I''m not terribly interested in everything-but-the-kitchen-sink models such as the Elan 7 or EOS-1V.
I have not experienced any terrible problems with the metering, though it does tend to underexpose just a hair when shooting indoors. Surely not more than a half-stop. I have never used its flash.
I really abuse this camera more than it deserves, but nothing has broken or otherwise acted up on me at all yet. I have used it on occasion for sports photography (when I prefer to have one camera with a 75-300mm lens and one with a 35-80) and have had no shutter problems.
I have used this camera for four months now and think I have found a lifelong friend. The only thing that I find lacking is a depth of field preview, but most of the time, you don''t need it. This is truly a fine camera and I highly recommend it for just about anybody. Strengths: -Reasonably fast focus
-Durable
-Lightweight
-Simple controls Weaknesses: -No depth-of-field preview
-Underexposes slightly indoors Similar Products Used: -Nikon 6006
