Summary:
As I said, I have had this camera for 3 years and it is STILL taking wonderful pictures. The Autofocus is good and the zoom lens is great. I am a dedicated fuji customer and the endeavor 250 is definately a WONDERFUL little camera. This is "the little camera that could. " When I bought this camera, I paid 199.00 for this camera, but the technology was still new. Now, you can find one for 129,00. For this price, the camera is an EXCELLENT value. Now for the bottom line: I LOVE MY FUJI ENDEAVOR 250ix!!!

Strengths:
I have had this camera for 3 years and it is STILL taking EXCELLENT pictures. It has a wonderful autofocus system with an autofocus lock. I have shot at least 40 rolls of film in this nifty little camera and it is still going strong

Weaknesses:
The light metering could be better, but it still takes great pictues

Similar Products Used:
Olympus Newpic zoom 90
Canon ELPH (did not like)

Customer Service:
have not had to deal with

Model Reviewed:
Endeavor 250ix APS Camera

Summary:
I bought this camera right before I left for a two week trip to California and the Grand Canyon. Before this camera, I had rarely taken pictures and was extremely inexperienced. I do have to admit that this camera's ease-of-use really got me into photography, and I have "moved-up" to a Canon Rebel 2000. I hesitate to use the term move up, because so far my 35mm photos are not turning out as good as my APS photos from this camera. I think that 35mm offers more control over the photos in general, but APS and this camera make GOOD picture taking easier than 35mm. I would suggest this camera to photography beginners if Fuji made it anymore (which they don't). I would probably recommend one of the other Endeavour APS cameras instead. 5 stars on Value and 4 stars on Overall (for lack of ability to change lenses and flash which is available on other APS cameras like the Canon EOS IX series).

If you would like to see some pictures that I have taken with this camera, check out my website at http://users.ev1.net/~bellcd. All photos on the site were taken with the Endeavor.

Strengths:
Usual APS strengths:
Small camera size
3 photo sizes (regular, wide, and panoramic)
Easy film loading (totally automated)
Automatic focus and metering

Weaknesses:
No mid-roll replacement
Print quality not as good as 35mm (but that is APS, not this camera)
No capablity to change lenses or flash

Similar Products Used:
non-APS: Canon Rebel 2000 QD

Customer Service:
I have not had any need to use Fuji's customer service.

Endeavor 250ix APS Camera

Summary:
Good picture taker. Flash is a little weak, though. Use 400 speed film and KNOW YOUR FLASH RANGE. Viewfinder is tiny until you get used to it. Given its lack of reliability, I wouldn't buy one again.

Strengths:
Sleek, compact simple to use. Date imprinting on back of prints is great. Sharp lens, good exposure system. Good control layout. This camera is great to slip in a coat pocket so you always have it with you.

Weaknesses:
The first 250 I had quit all of a sudden. The zoom lens extended all the way and all the controls locked up except the shutter release. I work in a camera store and this was one of the strangest defects I've ever seen. The camera was replaced with another, which needed repair when it completely died. I had it repaired, but the film that was loaded at the time was ruined. The second repair was no charge thanks to the extended warranty I had purchased.

Similar Products Used:
Canon ELPH, Nikon Nuvis 75i, Nikon Nuvis 160i, Minolta Vectis UC and Vectis 300.

Customer Service:
No complaints.

Endeavor 250ix APS Camera

Summary:
Good design; compact/sleek. Takes good portrait and landscape snapshots.

Strengths:
It's a nice camera for me (a casual photographer) who doesn't like to bother with focusing, flash and film loading. I also like the date stamp and the flexibility it has to change the size of the photo. It also comes with a case that you can wear on your belt plus a long strap and it can go right around your neck - it's very light way. I also LOVE the zoom feature.

Weaknesses:
None
