Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $140.00 from New York mail order

Summary:
I shoot a lot of interiors so this wide angle baby is the perfect back-up camera for me. It does okay indoors in natural light with the flash switched off -IF I use Konica''s new 800 speed film. It also does okay for street scenes at night with that 800 in it.

Strengths:
Widest angle zoom lens on any APS point and shoot pocket camera. Rather natty, sturdy and well made. Actually looks like a camera instead of a ladies electric shaver. Sized to ride on my belt everywhere I go.

Weaknesses:
short flash range, Redeye with flash. Itsy-bitsy controls.

Similar Products Used:
Closest thing I have is a battle scarred 35mm Konica C-35. Otherwise I use a big old heavy 35mm SLR for my work.

Customer Service:
not needed so far.

Review 3 of 6

Price Paid:  $130.00 from Focus Camera Ltd. Online

Summary:
Overall, this is one GREAT camera. Used the Canon ELPHs before but this Konica beats them both! The controls are well placed for easy access. Buttons are big enough that they don't require finger-nail operation (except for the MRC button. Use the neck strap button pusher for that). ELPH2 was awful for that. Too small for my hands too.

Personally, I believe that the picture quality is the best I've seen from any APS compact. Perhaps James Henley (below) received poor pictures due to the photo lab. ??? Remember, the photo lab DOES make a difference when developing APS film. DON'T GO TO CHEAP LABS!!!! (i.e. Costco of Canada – I did receive bad pictures from there).

Camera kit is fully loaded with everything: Camera, battery, case, strap, manual, and even a remote control. Focus Camera even put in a free mini-tripod. A great thing to have around.

In conclusion, this little camera has everything that an APS compact should have. Great pictures, lots of functions, and a stylish body to wrap it all up.

THANK YOU KONICA!!!!

Strengths:
Excellent wide angle
Small and Compact
Controls are well placed
"Small Button Pusher" found on the end of neck strap
Remote Control
MRC
CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!! ($109 US before shipping)

Weaknesses:
Poorly designed manual
CHP mode switch is a little stiff
Slow at max zoom
Camera is a little hard to put in case when mirror adaptor is on
Flash flashes too often in automatic mode (even in a bright room with 400 film)

Similar Products Used:
Canon ELPH, ELPH2
Both had horrible red eyes and moderate picture quality.

Customer Service:
No need to use them yet
