Review 1 of 5

Summary:
A good entry into the Sinar view camera system

Strengths:
Precision, versatility and full integration with other Sinar cameras and metering systems

Weaknesses:
Front and rear standards are wimpy.
Standards are suitable for horizontal shots but are not strong enough for much else (eg vertical shots).

Similar Products Used:
Horseman, Toyo

Customer Service:
Good luck finding Sinar repair parts on their web page

Summary:
I have chosen Sinar F because of its portability and light weight. Excellent range of movements. Easy to use. The built-in depth-of-field calculator is very helpful.

Strengths:
Excellent combination of lightweight and operability. I use it when I work in the field (not far from my car).

Weaknesses:
None.

Similar Products Used:
No other view camera.

Customer Service:
No reliability problems. Good service in Italy.

Review 4 of 5

Model Reviewed:
Sinar f1 View Camera

Summary:
I really enjoy using this camara in the studio, and on the field... when I shoot for clients I know I have the sharpness that I need everywhere in the frame where I want it sharp, a true selective focus camera

Strengths:
this camara is the most versatil I've ever had, simple to use and automatic depth of field, if you read the intructions on how to get it

Weaknesses:
I snapped the front rail holder, but got a replacement in 2 weeks

Similar Products Used:
I tried the camron, and a horseman, but for the price this is very simple to get results fast

Customer Service:
they where very fast and understanding the problem that I had, and replace the front rail holder for a 75% of the cost

Review 5 of 5

Model Reviewed:
Sinar f1 View Camera

Summary:
A truly versatile and valuable tool in all respects. Very highly recommended.

Strengths:
The Sinar F1 is an economical and relatively light addition to the Sinar family. It incorporates the majority of features found on larger models without the price and inconvinience.

Weaknesses:
The only complait I wish to make about this fine camera is the lack of geared rise movements. This can be cumbersome to facilitate exact movement, though not hindering.
