    Strength:

Execllent clarity.... Execellent while capturing moving objects....

    Weakness:

    kind of bulky...

Really satisfies with the camera. The clarity is simply fantastic even with M2 resomution. Only disadvantage is it is kind of bulky...But not really a big issue...Red eye can cause a problem sometimes. But overall I think its worth the price I paid and I am satified

    Strength:

Solid build. Convenient. Very good images. Good battery life. Easy to use; intuitive menus if you are used to Canon. Raw files. Full auto to full manual, and in between. Great ability to customize, creative control. Better images than S50.

    Weakness:

No diopter. Average viewfinder (like all this size). No topside LCD. Fidgety main control, takes some getting used to.

An excellent "carry everywhere" camera. A little heavy, but solidly built. You can shoot fully auto (usual dummy modes, or program AE), partly manual (shutter or aperture priority) or fully manual, which I like. The Raw files are a big plus. I generally turn the flash down a stop, get better results in fill situations. The charger is easy to use (no cords!), and the software is OK. I prefer this to the S50, as the greater number of pixels in that model have merely translated into reduced dynamic range and more noise - go with the S45 if you like this design. You can do a lot with this camera, in terms of creative control - even has an intervalometer!

    Strength:

Easy to use Flexible--automatic or manual Many useful features Very portable, easy to carry Takes good pictures

    Weakness:

Battery life Lack of battery indicator

This camera is excellent for my needs. It's easy to use in auto mode but can be used in manual modes as well. I did have to study the owner's manual to learn how to use all of its features, but I think that's understandable given how many cool features it has. The size is perfect; I can take this camera anywhere, so I use it all the time. I purchased the underwater case which I used with the camera while snorkeling on vacation, and got some great underwater shots.
