this is an excellent perform lens provide 1:1 ratio sharp beautiful result in marco. I've been using Nikkor marco lens for more than ten years. After tried this lens for flower and insect, was stunned by the sharpness, fineness and color reproduction of it. it's also fantastic in protrait as the f2.5 in 125mm allow you to give best depth of view control with beautiful background. it's all metal built give very solid feeling with an outstanding square shape lens hood.
