Strength:

Fast shooting speed
Clear Pictures
Large LCD Screen
Unlimited Movie Recording
Sleek and Future looking
Good Quality Movies in adequate light condition

Weakness:

Lack of Scratch protection for LCD
Confusing Menu
Low Quality Movies in Low light condition
Hard to locate subjects in low light condition

The DSC-N1 has a very large 3" LCD screen, however there is nothing to protect it from scratches or smudges. There is a chemical treatment on the LCD panel to prevent smudges, however it you happen to scratch it, it won't help. I've added a screen protector made by Sakar for the LCD, but I had to custom cut it.

The pictures are sharp and the movies are clear, however you might want to shoot your movies in bright light. In low light situation, the faces are not too visible.

When shooting in low light condition, it's hard to see the subjects.

The menu can be confusing the first few times, especially going into Sephia or B&W mode.

Overall, Sony has created a very good product for the casual photographer.
