from Park Ave Summary: Totally useless devic.D Strengths: Displays horozontal shots very well. Weaknesses: Cuts off the top and bottom of vertical shots in slide show modes in order to fill the tv screen. Who want's a device that cuts off the heads of people in vertical portraits. This makes the device totally useless to me.
I have talked to Sony about this problem and they basically told me to live with it.
The manual indicates that you could upgrade the firmware, but doesn't tell you how to do it. Anyway Sony hasn't come out with an upgrade to fix this problem.
It also takes literally forever to delete pictures once you have put them on the HDD.
Stay away from this unit. Similar Products Used: Sandisk Photo Album Customer Service: Very helpful and courteous, but they didn't havee a fix for this fatal flaw.
