Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX AF 50-135mm f/2.8 35mm Zoom

DESCRIPTION

Designed for APS-C sensor DSLRs, the Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX lens is a 50-135 with a fast constant aperture of f/2.8. This lens gives digital photographers the similar to the industry standard 80-210 telephoto zoom lens in 35mm camera terms but is much more compact and lightweight. SD glass lens elements correct chromatic aberrations making the AT-X 535 PRO DX an APO lens. The front element has a newly formulated WR or “Water Repellent" optical coating on the glass and the lens comes with a tripod collar.

Strength:

Amazingly sharp, well made, solid, all metal.

Weakness:

Only made for crop sensor SLR's

Okay, this lens doesn't have a written review yet, which suprises me. But it does have quick ratings that add up to 4.8 stars! And for a reason! In case you haven't seen the MTF resolution charts on this lens, it is one of the sharpest lenses ever made. When compared to other lenses, at photozone.com, the tests were amazing. This site only uses scientific tests, that are based on true testing rather than opinion. I bought it because of this, and it has lived up to the ratings. It is solid as a tank, super sharp, and just a beautiful lens. My only complaint? It isn't designed for full frame sensors. Bummer.
