Summary:

The EZCam is definitely a beginner's camera. I bought two for video conferencing in 1999. At the time, the quality was acceptable. Now, compared to the current crop, it is nothing short of horrific. Colors are yellow-cast and very pixellated for the 320 x 240 size. Only buy this camera if your means are extremely limited.

Summary:

Third "low end" camera I''ve owned. Sharp picture (for price). Best picture in it''s price range. Has difficulty adjusting to varying light conditions (as do most web cams). No drivers available to update to XP. Recommended only if don''t plan on upgrading OS.

Price. Sharpness. Easy install

Weaknesses:

Can''t upgrade driver to XP. Difficulty adjusting to background brightness.

Summary:

Basic Summary: poor resolution, bad lighting adaptation, awful software, but camera is cheap ($20.) The video has ugly color reproduction, is grainy and jerky, and must be under ideal light conditions to look decent. The software is very annoying. You can't make any adjustments to improve quality that seem to make a difference, and would only be suited to the most basic beginners who showed no promise for advancement. Don't buy this camera unless you really don't care about quality.

Summary:

The EZonics WebCam USB is a good little camera - ideal for beginners. It comes with several suites of easy to learn editing software, and the camera is USB plug and play ready. What more can you ask for considering the price? It's got decent resolution for net-conferencing, and is good for candid snapshots, too.

Strengths:

Easy of use.

Weaknesses:

Not the world's best resolution.

This camera is worth its price.
