Review 3 of 31

Price Paid:  $6.00

Summary:

Very high color saturation and contrast!!!!! beautiful for outdoor. Very fine rendition of color though....except in red.
NOT FOR PORTRAIT!!! (use portrait 160 for nice skin tones...)
Give it a try!!!!! if you can find one roll (!!)

Strengths:

-High color saturation and contrast and beautiful color rendition.
-Flashy colors when over-exposed!!!

Weaknesses:

-Not for portrait...but you already know that!! (horrible skin tones in day or artificial light)
- grainy for a 50 ASA
- lack of details in red

Review 4 of 31

Price Paid:  $5.00

Summary:

i started using this film because i needed a print alternative to something like velvia. when you see the prints you get its like WOW the colours but then you compare them to REAL films like velvia, provia and the colours are GROSS ! really really disgusting rendering....oh and can people not complain about films if they are using them for the wrong application. of course this is a sh*t portrait film BECAUSE ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE USED FOR PORTRAITS!!!

Strengths:

none

Weaknesses:

gross colours....yuck!

Review 5 of 31

Price Paid:  $4.00 from Ebay

Summary:

Great film for those occasions where you need prints and want super saturation. I haven't used it in 35mm, but it seems great in 120.

It is like a print version of Velvia.

Strengths:

Amazing color saturation! Probably best available of any print film.

Good contrast and tight grain. Use it outdoors for landscape and shots accentuating color.

Weaknesses:

Some say that this film get very grainy, and is more like a 100 ISO film. I disagree: at least in 120 medium format, it looks beautiful to me.
