Review 1 of 46

Price Paid:  $250.00 from J & R

Summary:

This is a wonderful camera. I have been using it for more than 3 years and have taken over 1000-2000 pictures and not ONE problem with it (well, there was this time when I took it out during a big snowstorm, and there was a lot of condensation on the lens, for some reason it locked up but it unlocked itself afterwards). Very reliable camera; it has never failed me once. The trick is, the lens that came with the camera kit is relatively cheap compared to the body (the part that bothers me the most is the focus adjustment ring when you switch to Manual). I have recently bought a 50mm AF normal lens for this camera, and the pictures were noticeably sharper (also has an aluminum-mount).

Strengths:

-Has functions for beginner and amateur photographers alike. -Fast shutter (1/4000 at fastest) and also as long as 30 seconds. -Good battery life (approximately 50 rolls if you ease up on flash). -Good ergonomics. -Efficient scrolling button that handles everything. -Speedy film-advancing

Weaknesses:

-Aperture (on manual) is a bit hard to adjust because you have to hold down a key near the lens, and then scroll to change the f-stops.

Review 2 of 46

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Woo's Camera Repair,

Summary:

This is my third camera, and I purchased it because at the camera repair store, it was a great deal, and still in the box. I've been using a lot of beginner cameras and they have been lacking the options I need to shoot the pictures I want to take. This camera provides many options for creative photography as well as casual and beginner use. This is a great overall camera to use, and great tool to learn from.

Strengths:

The controls are well placed and easy to get to Manual settings are easy to adjust. Takes great pictures.

Weaknesses:

None so far

Review 3 of 46

Price Paid:  $258.00 from ebay.com

Summary:

I've been very impressed with the product and I woud recommend it to anyone who wants to do casual photography, but who also needs it for everyday uses. It has just about every function needed to do point and shoot as well as indulging yourself in the pleasures of more technical photography. Good all around camera!

Strengths:

Many options manual or auto. Feels good in hand. Very clear functions. Works well with Sigma Lenses

Weaknesses:

Shutter release button is a bit stiff. Sometimes searches in low light. With sports photography, it eats the batteries.
