Review 1 of 7

Price Paid:  $23.00 from London Drugs

Summary:

Fantastic little camera bag. I holds my F80/N80 with 28-105 lens, SB22s flash and 3-4 rolls of film, one filter, and my mini tripod. Great for those little trips here and there. Probably good waterproofness, although I have not needed it yet.

Strengths:

Construction, materials, price, good value.

Weaknesses:

None

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $28.00 from cameraworld.com

Summary:

I like the bag a gread deal. My Nikon N80 with attached zoom lensfits easily within the bag. I don't have other lenses or a hot shoe flash right now so I have plenty of extra room to store film with in the bag. The pockets seem to be a good size and hold my cleaning gear and batteries, etc. easily. I like the bag because it forces me not to take all the other garbage I carry and never use.

Strengths:

The bag is very well made. Additionally, I find that the equipment I do have fits snugly and seems to be well protected.

Weaknesses:

Small
It isn't readily obvious to me how a full size flash would fit within the bag. The pockets are not large enough to hold the camera instruction manual.

Model Reviewed:
Nova Mini Verticle Camera Bag

Summary:

Great bag for carrying only the essentials. I would try putting your stuff in it at the store before purchasing, however. I can easily see how a larger camera would not fit.

Strengths:

Awesome construction and well thought-out design. Small enough to be a convenient carry, but holds enough to be useful.

Weaknesses:

I wasn't actually able to use this bag as a "verticle". Instead, the only way I could fit my Minolta X-700 w/attached 50mm, flash, and 135mm prime was to stick the 135mm in its own division and then stick the X-700 in sideways, on top of the flash. The picture on the web site looks great, but I'm stumped as to how to actually fit my stuff in the bag in that manner.

Review 5 of 7

Model Reviewed:
Nova Mini Verticle Camera Bag

Summary:

This bag is great for those times you just want to use your camera as a glorified P&S. It's light and can fit in 2 small zooms or small primes (if you want to carry around a 300mm get another bag). Stetchable mesh side pockets provide sufficient film storage plus zippable front pocket gives more protected storage for film, filters, etc. It easily fits my ElanII but if you use the battery pack or have a larger pro camera you should get something a little bigger. If you want a small bag so that you can carry a camera + a small lens, etc. without having to lug all of your equipment around, this bag is ideal.

Strengths:

Good construction, small enough not to be cumbersome, light enough to put on your belt without doing your back in. Great for those times you don't want to carry around a lot of equipment.

Weaknesses:

To small for larger pro cameras. Can be a bit of a tight squeeze if you want camera 2 lenses and a flash. Adjustable internal padding can be a little tedious in such a small space (I wish it opened up a little more).
