Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $79.00

Summary:

This is a very nice bag. I use it in combination with the Street and Field Deluxe waistbelt which makes it possible to wair it in front of me. With the bag opening away from me this makes it the perfect bag for this situation. Plenty of room and possibility to add lens cases on the bag and the waistbelt it is almost unlimited. The raincover is very handy thow a little bit narrow to fit the bag. Very protective for what's inside it. With the large front sack you can even add flashes etc. without being overloaded on the road.

Strengths:

Extendable, raincover, protective, opening away from you.

Weaknesses:

None

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Jessops

Summary:

I carried this side/shouldered pack through sweltering and typhoon hit japan in 2001. With the bag came a chest harness (usually inc ??) which did the job surprisingly well. The whole lot helped hump a Contax RX with 50mm and 135 mm lenses. The overall contruction is very good as there are some brass hoops to keep the thing from dashing yer precious gear on the floor ....and also the material is tough and rip-resistant. The top opens away from u so as to spillages and entanglements.. I am suprised that i didnt drop lense etc in crowded streets etc.. pockets are good but the raincover is almost a joke and the bag will soak up rain in a biggish downpour. I had to empty mine out and dry out (not what u wanna do if u wanna keep kit together while abroad. HAVING SAID THAT .. well done lowepro coz this bag was gentle on the shoulder and sits very comfortable as your moving .. But think waterproof? when buying!

Strengths:

strong, well put together with ripstop material. Came with very usefull chest harness;Near-body side of bag has anti-moisture mesh. U can attach extra S/F bags. Holds big extras like cokin filters, minitripod, and maybe 6 or 7 rolls of film

Weaknesses:

Wont stand up to extended showers (england or japan ??) Quite large but has padding and pockets. Velcro has frayed a bit inside.

Similar Products Used:

my mates little cheap toploader various everready cases which have their own downfalls

Customer Service:

I feel like emailing Lowepro about the ill-fitting and inadequate rain cover

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $52.00 from Camera World of Oregon

Summary:

This is a useful bag and worth the money, if you have a large 80-200 2.8 zoom and you need to carry it, with the camera mounted, around for extended shooting in iffy weather conditions. It is a pro bag, in the sense that a person who makes their living with their camera would consider it indispensable. If you are a casual shooter you probably don't have a huge, heavy 80-200 2.8 zoom anyway. The only reason I bought this bag is because I bought a big zoom, so for me it is worth it. If you have light equipment and have no need for heavy duty protection, you should choose something else. It is a good value though, if you need its special feature set.

Strengths:

Very well padded. It protects the camera, the lens and everything else in it extremely well. Well constructed. High strength stitching and materials. Has a rain cover that is useful when that sudden downpour appears. It has little pockets and storage areas for film, filters, a flash, etc.

Weaknesses:

Bulky, heavy, awkward to carry around.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $86.00 from Bel-Air camera and video

Summary:

Great product! Expensive but great. A rain cover is included very nifty. It doesn't hold that much though. I have stuffed 1 SLR, 50mm lens, 50mm-75mm extension, 80mm-110mm lens, reversed hood, and all the little extras cable realse, filters, etc.

Strengths:

Compatible with the street and fiels system. Very cool.

Weaknesses:

Not enough storage for the amount of space it takes up. Price
