Summary:

The #1 choice in this FL. Other things being equal, the large aperture is decisive.

Strengths:

I've used this lens for 15 years and I love it. It's spectacularly sharp. Light falloff at large apertures is steep but this is to be expected in a lens this wide. Stopping down helps a lot. There is no noticeable linear distortion. The coverage doesn't allow a lot of movement but substantially more than I got with the 65 f/8 Schneider I had used previously. The f/4 aperture is a great help for viewing and focusing.

Weaknesses:

none
