Summary:
I have the Sunpak AF 5000 and Sunpak 4000 AF, plus 2-Sunpak TR-TRAK II battery pak.
The 5000AF is one of the best flash i have, i paid 45$ for it to use with my Fuji S3 Pro, infact it is too good i bought another one for my Sony A100 too.
Its powerful, got many features, came with a diffuser box. Its works fine with my Sunpak TR-PAK II power pak, never missed a shot, im very happy with it..
I dont see any other flash in its price range can beat it..I love best deal..Why pay more?

Summary:
I got this Sunpak 5000AF used on Ebay for 25$ shipped. For use with my 2 Fujis S2& S3 pro and my Nikon D50, this is one of the best AF flash i have, eventhough i got a total of 8 Sunpak flashes.This 5000AF is powerful flash, plus it can swivel the head which i need for vertical shots, it came with its matching softbox diffuser, a really nice feature. i love this flash, its my main flash plus i use a another Sunpak 4000AF as a slave flash to cover a big room.

Summary:
For the price at $150 it is an excellent flash. However, it does not support e-TTL. Auto mode can be used instead and gives excellent exposures, where only the f-stop needs to be entered manually. This powerful flash has the option to match the zoom to the focal length of the camera, and can swivel and bounce. The power output can also be set manually.

Strengths:
Powerful flash at a great value of $150. Many manual settings, rear curtain sync works well.

Weaknesses:
Will not read aperture into from camera in auto mode and therefore needs to be entered manually.

TTL only and will not support e-TTL

Summary:
Do not buy this flash or any products from this company. If you upgrade your camera body, like I did with my Canon, it will not be compatable. All of my other accesseries and lenses work, except the flash. Had I known this I would not have bought it. Also, when I asked Sunpack about this they said it was my fault for upgrading my camera. Not only are thier products bad, but so is thier customer service

Summary:
Like many people say, "you get what you pay for." With that out of the way...This flash is great for the weekend photographer. It's cheap, works well and loves to suck down those four AA batteries. If you do plan on getting one, go for it! but don't get all ticked off with the first couple of rolls. Learn to use the bounce and play with your cameras f-stops.

Strengths:
price you can point the head anywhere you wish! informative LCD display

Weaknesses:
loves the taste of double A's cheap shoe mount. Feels like it could break at any moment! But mine has not. Takes ALOT of getting use too.
