Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Downtown camera, Tor

Summary:

In my years in the darkroom, I have never used a more versatile and easy to use enlarger. The roller springs are great with the easy lock mechanism. Obviously the best enlarger for the price.

Strengths:

all

Weaknesses:

none

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $658.00 from karachi

Summary:

LPL ofJapan, this enlarger is marketed as the LPL C7700MX outside USA. It is well designed, well made, versatile and reliable. So is 6700. If you never want to print larger than 6x7cm size this unit will cover all B&W and colour requirements in fine style. Easy to use with 35mm

Strengths:

High price, good specification, most functions easy and smooth in operation. Stays in alignment indefinitely.Tilt movements available for perspective correction. roller spring are weak.

Weaknesses:

In orginal shape supplied the blades in the four blade neg carrier do not move far enough apart to reveal the full 56 x 70 mm frame. This is easily fixed by dismantling the carrier and filing down the blades a little. which is a tension. The image in the grain magnifier tends to move sideways slightly when focussing. This is not a big problem but is mildly annoying. then the spring is too weaks and does not support rapid jobs.

Customer Service:

Not available in Pakistan and has to be achieved from S'Pore or H'Kong.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $461.00 from Adorama

Summary:

A fairly solid enlarger. Suffers from a slight difficulty in focusing, and lack of extra parts to customize. It would be nice if there was a way to extend the column. OTOH it isn't too hard to reverse it.

Good if you don't plan to make big prints too often.

Strengths:

Price, Filtration

Weaknesses:

focusing, modularity

Customer Service:

very good via email
