Leica Tabletop Tripod

I couldn`t agree more with the previous posters. after years looking for a decent portable support I dug out my old Leica tabletop and extended ball head. I use it mainly as a walk a bout support against my chest and can hand hold a shot at 1/15th with my 35-70 lens on the long end. It folds flat and can be packed easily. I leave it attached to the camera when walking around. It beats carrying a full size tripod and in my view is as stable if not more stable than a monopod.

Light, flexible and very well made and I use it with a 1DSMK3 where I find the ball head holds tight.

An incredibly convenient, yet lightweight set of legs that offer suprisingly stable results when combined with the equally impressive Leica ballhead. Ingenious folding leg system that allows the les to stack together makinf it quite easy and convenient to carry. As I noted in my review of the Leica ballhead, I used this head and legs last evening to support my F5, an 28-70/2.8 lens, an SB80 flash on a Stroboframe bracket. I used the self timer, left the rig hands off on the table and popped into the shot. Amazingly steady support made for very sharp photo. Use this set as table pod, or use it to lean against trees, walls, railings, cars or whatever is available in your travels. I even use it as a chest pod when nothing else is available for support. I love this setup.

Get the Leica ball head with it, this is simply the best.
For travel photography there is no better setup.
Easily fitted into the sidepocket of a DOmke 803 - it went eveywhere with me.
Used it in churchs, held it on the sides of buildings. IF you're going to travel - spend the money and get, if I could give this setup 6 stars I would.
