Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $369.00 from North County Camera,

Summary:

So far I'm not really happy with it. I think mine might have defective wheels, because it's EXTREMELY difficult to roll. It's actually easier to CARRY my old bag! I'm going to take it back for a replacement... hopefully it'll be better.

Strengths:

Carries a lot, versatile dividers and space.

Weaknesses:

Above mentioned wheels... too few 'smaller' pockets for all the various extra knick-knacks and accessories (film, memory cards, batteries, etc.) you always end up carrying. Mostly just one big space with the dividers. As the other gentleman said... QUITE pricey. (The one I bought is the 698, the larger of the two.) I agree with him, though, if it works properly, it's well worth it.

Similar Products Used:

Have used several different Tamrac bags on the past.. been pretty happy with them so far.

Customer Service:

I'll find out when I take this one back!

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $331.00 from B&H

Summary:

This is the extremely useful and versatile camera pack I've always dreamed of and hoped a manufacturer would make some day. The big 4" rubberized wheels make it easy to roll my equipment over even rough terrain. It can easily be converted into a comfortable backpack, if needed. It is just the right size for the amount of equipment and film I carry. Finally, an extremely practical camera case that will make life easier for my back and shoulders.

Strengths:

Extremely sturdy and well built. Extremely versatile - 1. a rolling case, 2. top and side handles for carrying, and 3. a harnmess for use as a backpack. Just the right size.

Weaknesses:

This isn't really a weakness, but it's a bit pricey. However, I was happy to pay the price. I guess you get what you pay for.

Similar Products Used:

Various brand backpacks and hard cases. Also the wonderful LowePro Orion.

Customer Service:

No experience with this yet. My first Tamrac product.
