Review 1 of 25

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Camera locked up. Thought it was a dead battery, but new battery did not fix. Sent back to factory for evaluation and they reccomend a $100. overhaul! The camera is barely 1 1/2 years old! Not real impressed after using a Cannon sure shot for 20 years prior without a glitch.

Review 2 of 25

Price Paid:  $200.00 from local photostore

Summary:
Very good camera, as long as you don''''t want to make action-pictures or nsap-shots that need to be quickly taken. Pictures are very sharp. I use it next to my Nikon SLR and sometimes I forget by wich camera a shot was made.

Strengths:
Zoomrange Ease of use

Weaknesses:
Little slow on shutter speed, but when youn know it you can handle it.

Review 3 of 25

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Not impressed. Camera is extremely slow. Viewfinder is clear, but it is difficult to properly compose shots. Will be returning camera this weekend.

Strengths:
Small and flat when not in use.

Weaknesses:
Too SLOW! Trying to capture a two year old is virtually impossible. I got some great shots of the floor after I got tired of waiting for the shutter.

Minolta

Review 4 of 25

Price Paid:  $170.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
Unacceptable - We are replacing this relatively new camera. I've missed way too many shots because it is so slow.

Strengths:
Competitive features/price

Weaknesses:
Long delays between pressing shutter release and actual shutter - sometimes several seconds. NOT ACCEPTABLE
Lens is only OK.

Similar Products Used:
Older Canon Sure Shot
Various Nikon SLRs

Customer Service:
Not tried.

Review 5 of 25

Price Paid:  $180.00 from Camera World website

Summary:
This camera has the most annoyingly slow shutter of any any point and shoot camera that I have used. You have to press half way to focus (which it does rather slowly) and there is a lag between when you press down all the way and when the camera fires. The picture image sharpness is average to below average. Every once in a while, some shots would be incorrectly exposed. Attempted to ask questions using the website and received no response and had to call customer service. Initial contact was extremely poor since they tried to contribute everything to user error and they were rude. Had to insist in dealing with the supervisor. Sent camera in for testing and proved that metering mechanism was defective. Would not purchase Canon again.

Strengths:
Compact size

Weaknesses:
Shutter very slow to fire, inconsistent results

Similar Products Used:
Ricoh, Pentax

Customer Service:
The online website was basically useless. Initial contact with customer service was poor, needed to resolve issues with the supervisor.
