    Strength:

    Picture quality and size.

    Weakness:

It has a slow lag time and the camera takes about 5 minutes to delete an image. I am not impressed. I expected more from Nikon

Small, sturdy, and not difficult to use, but it does have drawbacks.

    Strength:

Great picture quality, great lense, lots of options.

    Weakness:

Motor failure. Also tailored for the beginner a little more than what I would want.

The motor fails and delivers a system error, rendering your camera useless after about 1.5 years of use. VERY common problem. Outside of that. Completely love everything about this camera.

    Strength:

When is works it is a great little camera for traveling. Compact and takes very good pictures.

    Weakness:

    It stops working. Customer service.

This is the worst camera I have ever owned and that includes my very first camera which was a Mickey Mouse camera where I had to pull Mickey's ear to take a picture. It has twice shut down on me and both times I was in a foreign country. The first time, about a year ago it was a "System Error", found a Nikon discussion board and found it was a very common problem. Sent it to Nikon, poor customer service, took more than 3 months to get it returned, but seemed to work fine until this summer it just would not turn on. Fortunately this time I had another digital camera with me.

    Strength:

It takes excellent point and shoot pictures as well as portraits, still life and landscapes. What I see through the lens or the LCD screen is what I get. I like the back lighting feature and the sand and sun features the best. Also the ability to set the white balance was simple not as difficult as most people make it out to be. You can zoom in close to almost any object. The compact flash card seems to edure much use and abuse unlike smart media cards.

    Weakness:

I would like the flash to be a little stronger. When using red eye on my daughter sometimes it reacts a little too slow for a 1 year old on the move.

I own several 35 mm film cameras, 1 Canon, 2 Nikons. Swore I would never own a digital. I had the opportunity to try several digital cameras out, Sony, Olympus, Canon, Samsung and Nikon. I liked the Coolpix the best. The Coolpix I fall back on constantly. A good camera for the beginners or the experienced. 6 year son can use with supervision.

    Strength:

Small and perfect for my wife's use.

    Weakness:

    Shutter delay when snapping pics.

System function failure within 4 months of use. Constant "system error" when using zoom-in function. Camera will be unusable (or freeze) for at least 2 - 4 hours.

    Customer Service

Not professional and the reception team are just like clerks. Should have experienced and technical people at the front counter.

    Weakness:

We have had the Coolpix 775 for one year and have been pleased. It was our first Digital camera and we bought this model for it's small size, features and price. If you are a traveler, prone to taking outdoor pictures, like to zoom in for good closeups of the kids and are looking for something easy to download (after you resolve the software issue) this is an ideal buy.

    Strength:

    1. Nikon quality photos 2. small 3. easy to use 4. lightweight

    Weakness:

    1. indoor pictures can be too dark if you don''t adjust the settings first

Love it! I''ve had mine for 2 months and absolutely love it. I spent a lot of time on the internet reading reviews and making comparisons. I then went to the stores and compared the cameras physically. This one is small, takes GREAT pictures for a beginner, and is easy to use. Plus it comes with a charger. I upgraded the card from 8 to 128. Some people have said they had a terrible time with the software, but I am running it on Win98 with Adaptec and have had no problems (yet?). I did NOT load the Cumulus software, nobody seemed to like it so I didn''t waste my time. The only minor problem I had (I think it was a problem) was that after charging for 4 hours the battery still wasn''t charged, so I called support (HA-HA) and they just gave me a reference number and told me to ship the whole camera to them. Seeing how it was only 4 hours old, I said no thanks and took the whole thing back to the store for an exchange. The new charger took about an hour.

    Customer Service

    bad, like most customer support

    Strength:

Lite, small, flexibility, rechargable battery, ease of use

    Weakness:

    none so far

Great little beast... used it for 3 months yet, got more than a 2000 shots done. Great lens quality. Amazingly lite ( always with me ), Incredible Macro mode, guys just remember the macro rings we had to play with... it never been simpler. Fantastic ''point and shoot'' scenes settings. I want to be more personnal with it... I can play with multiple settings. Yes more settings would have been interesting ( shutter or speed priority ) but not necessary. If you think you NEED it buy the next level. SOFTWARE... I''m using XP so no need for any, You connect it and XP ask you what you want to do with the 63 photos he sees in your CoolPix, transfer it? print it? or have it print by a chimical lab? ...yes... that easy. To say the least, friends are amazed by the work done with it. Yes I like this one and recommand it.

    Strength:

Rechargeable Batt with included A/C charger. Good pictures. Easy menu''s. Very lightweight.

    Weakness:

No sound in movie mode. Limited use of included photo software, makes you upgrade if you take quite a few pictures and want to save them in its file.

Bought this baby as an "Open Box" item from Circuit City. So far it has worked just fine. I had a larger and heavier digital camera that I just sold on ebay. And this camera is so much nicer to use. It so lightweight and easy to hold. Fits in your pocket and its ready to go. I''ve read a lot of good/bad reviews on this camera. And I have to say I like it. If your looking for an easy to use, light weight, go anywhere digital camera. Get the 775.

Great little camera. Only thing is the 8 meg memory card that comes with the camera isn''t enough. I like the fact that its small and light. Very easy to use aswell.
