Obviously speed, lighting fast auto focus, lens, and all in Batman black body. I have yet to find out all of the diamond facets of this now 11 year old classic. I just learned of its existence when researching to buy the other great almost twin model, the C2100 US.

I got super lucky on E-Bay and got for $44 on July 3, 2012.

The features on this camera is still blowing me away and I thought I knew what to desire in a prosumer camera like fast aperature, solid build, full user input on all photo exposures parameters and decent zoom.

Can't wait to find out. But for $44, I seriously will never complain. Price suggested when new, $1500. Wow.

I will return when some milage is put on the E-100 RS

38-380, optical stabilizer is something... VERY high frame rate. Build quality. Use standard AA batteries, accepts SM and CF cards. Extended photographic possibilities (slow flash sync, PASM modes, matix/center/spot measures, standard, spot, continous AF, everything is there) - Nice image quality, without the exagerated saturation/microcontrast that are often found on digital cameras - Can be found at bargain prices now

- Only 1.5 Mpix. It hurts, even though Genuine Fractals is included in the set - No real Wide Angle. Common to almost all the digicams, yes, but troublesome anyway. - Not-so-perfect ergonomy, esp. when compared to Camedia E10 : You have to go through the menus quite often, and there''s no ring for zoom or focus setting. - Impossible to focus manually, due to the absence of a ring AND the LCD viewfinder - LCD viewfinder... Not _that_ bad, but it''s really just an help for framing... You cannot judge the focus in this, and it''s quite slow to react to any change. OTOH, you have access to all the parameters at all time, which is a bonus - Official Price is absolutely crazy

An exceptionnal product. Exceptionnal, that is, this camera does things no other camera does, but is also unable to do some things every camera does. A great opportunity when sold at ~ 500 $, a very bad deal at the official price ~2000 $.. Rating is made considering the price I paid it new (500 $), otherwise it would have a velue rating of 2...

I researched a lot of cameras before buying and thought this one was the one and it is. It does everything I ask of it and more. When researching the camera I was concerned about picture quality especially macro and 8 x 10 prints because of the small pixel count. Now that I have the camera I can say there was no reason for concern, I make excellent macro shots and 8 x 10 prints. I like the pan feature, the ability to capture a lot of action shots, and the great pictures I've taken. I am absolutely delighted with the camera and would recommend it to anyone.
