A great walk-around lens for FX. Superb sharpness and contrast in the greater central area! Even wide open. Just as sharp as the 24-70/2.8! But as this is a lightweight, low cost lens, it is also designed "right on the edge" of most limits...

Which means that you get more distortion than the expensive lenses, less sharpness in the corners, more vignetting, and it takes more down-stopping to fix it. But for the image quality you do get in most of the frame, for this price, size and weight, the value is sky high!
