The front lens rotates during focusing. The use of a polarized filter is quite impossible

Range unadapted to APS-C captors (equivalent to a 52,5-202,5mm)

A 35-135 f3,5-4,5 AF-D has existed.....

A great lens! I have this lens for 20 years and used it on Nikon FA and a Nikon F100. The build quality is impressive for a consumer grade lens,

Regarding the functions :
*The "pump" zooming system is very practical and allows without moving the left hand to handle zooming and focusing. This is a great comfort as it is a manual focus lens.
*The zooming range is great 35-135 especially regarding the max aperture 3,5/4,5. Most of the concurrents open at 5,6 at maxe range.
*The macro function is an usefull add to this zoom

But nothing is perfect though :
* There is no real wide angle (I think 28-120 would have been better in a lot of situations)
* The front lenses does not rotate during zooming but does it during focusing. The use of a polarized filter is quite impossible
* Sometimes vignetting is a bit present
* The Range is quite unadapted to APS-C captors (equivalent to a 52,5-202,5mm)

I can't say anything about chromatic aberrations and use on a digital camera. I will soon have a Nikon D300 to test that.
