Strength:

Sharp and focus is good Built like a tank Vintage look, light is subdued My lens has AF so it auto focus for D50, D70s, D90 which has a AF on the body

Weakness:

Compare to modern lens, you will miss the vibration reduction especially at long focal length of 75-300, but not a problem for me, i use my body and arm as tripod :) Quite noisy focus motor, not adviseable for video but ok for photo.

Strength:

Sharpness in all mm, 300mm at F11 the best for 300mm. For 60-135mm there is a need to set F5.6-F8 to get a good results. F4 only for critical situations at these mm.
Price is good.
Build quality as usual of Tokina is very good or excelent.
Coloursand ease of use
Only a bit chromatic aberrations

Weakness:

At 300mm only F11, but it is possible to set higher ISO to avoid from blur of camera shake.
No AF(Tokina, please do lens like this with AF)

Nice, solid built with metal, but manual lens, i think, it is very good for amateours. There is a need to make a focus accurately and precisely to avoid from back- or front-focus. I like how lens is bulit, lens is a little bit heavy, but it is nothing to desire. It is giving good sharpness and colors, as a amateour I dont see vigneting or chromatic aberrations. For 200 to 300 mm the best results come with aperture closed to F11. I use this lens in daylight, making photoes of city life and nature. For the price this give a good quality, but every must make focus accurately and only for 60-135mm to use at least F5.6 - F8 to save a sharpness. For a price I got it shots price of Sigma macro(that with red line) 70-300mm. Maybe I dont like, that this is not a lens with AF and only usable is Manual mode. It is longer time to set the best settings of time, aperture and to check result to know are best or not. But when this learn, it is more quickly to get a results.

Similar Products Used:

Nikon kit lens 18-55mm F3,5-5.6 is not similar, but I like more Tokina SZ-X 60-300 for sharpness and levels of CA.
