The Olympus FE-180 is a compact digital Point and Shoot camera (further PAS) it has a resolutin of 6 MP and it is small, light and stylish it fits good in the hand and has a Digitial Imige Stabilizer (DIS) , 22mb internal memory.

i bought mine second hand since i do not have a large income to buy these thigs new, the store said it was without xd card and without batteries, but i got a 512 mb xd xard for free and 2 recarchable pnelights (Hape 2100 NIMH) for free.

the camera is comaptible with Olympus XD and Fuij Xd cards, but only on the olympus XD cards the panoramic mode works . the display is large 2.5 cm or 6.4 inch and is used as viewfinder and playback. There is no optical viewfinder. The display is bright enough to see what you are shooting or have shot. On top of the camera are only two buttons , the power buttin and the shutter.

this is a fast compoact PAS , even with standard XD memory. the setup mode is easy and there is a help program in playback and shoot mode. The camera is ready within a second and the shutterlag (the time that is taken to take a picture is a mere 0.6 seconds so the camea a can be used for candid camera shooting .

it is a camera with a extreme long battery life up to 500 shots on one nimh charge
but even with normal batteries the camera iconsumes very little power. and the great thing with Penlights AA is that you can buy them on practicaly alomst every spot on the earth so that there is always a change to get power

The memory size you can use is ether the intarnal 22 mb (good for 5 pcitures in the highest setting (SHQ) and 15 in the lowest (640x480) with a 256 mb card in HQ mode (by one the highest mode) is a 173 pictures on 2816x2112 size is 5947392 effective megapixel . Picture qualtiy is very good as might be expected from olympus and 6 MP is more than enogh for large prints

the build is solid and it has a small grip th hold it , the lens is a all glas lens and it has a 3 x optical zoom en 4 x digtial zoon . It is not only a PAS but it has also got movie mode and it has 10 scen modes , like action, auction , sports fireworks, behind glass (great in zoo's ) and a sunset and night mode.
