Strength:

Price!
I like the fact that you can use AA batteries as they are easily replaceable and even if you run out of rechargeables you can buy them anywhere.
Using SD memory is also a big plus. It is a fast reliable and common format. I can take the sd card out the camera and stick it into my laptop, the printer, the card reader in the photo printshop wherever. Briliant!
The camera works, it takes good pictures with the minimum of fuss providing you have selected the correct setting. If you haven't it will often warn you that you haven't!
If your an aim and shoot type this the perfect camera for you.

Weakness:

The menus are a mess. They don't make sense. I spend days lost in them and usually just give up. If your not content with accepting the pre set settings don't bother this camera will frustrate you.
Compared to the simplicity and sense of Canon's menu's this is just stupid.
Similarly the macro functions are clumsy and pretty much any other setting you want to play around with.

We picked the camera for several reasons.
A.) We had heaps of AA rechargeable batteries from our previous camera that had just died and we wanted something that could use that.
B.) We had loads of SD memory from said dead camera
C.) It was cheap

I was surprised how much camera we got for the price we paid.
8.1mp a pretty big LCD screen and good battery life. Only 3xzoom but then we only paid $120 for it.
