Strength:
Portability is a must, for those quick and surprising shots. I travel abroad around the world, and some of the other photo buffs state there is no support for developing. All the places i have journeyed to have the developing systems.
Weakness:
I have not experienced any weaknessess except for the battery life using the flash, but that could possibly also be the batteries performance vice the cameras. The film developing is a little more spendy, but you get what you pay for. No negatives, which is neat for it is like a small photo album. I have had experiences with SLR cameras, and Minox camera systems. I like the operation of my ELPH JR which has not given me any problems whatsoever. Customer Service I have not had a glitch with this camera, for i have had it for 3 years now and it still runs like a champ. Similar Products Used: None used. |

I have never seen such a bad reliability, even the 15 $ nikon from my son provides better Images and ist more reliable. Since the last fixing (done by canon, we have sharp images in the center, but around the center the sharpness is more worse than a one-way camera. I bought this camera for my wife,because its really small and the aperture is not too slow. We both shot about 15 rolls during this 15 rolls the camera was 3 times at canon to fix it. Easy to carry. Good lens and pictures while it works well.
Weakness:
The problem I have described above. Weak AF system. I bought this camera to carry on my trips. It''s a nice model. I didn''t expect it would work so well. But, after two years working very well it started to take bad pictures, out of focus, weak flash light, maybe shaken ou something like that. Strength:
Sharp pictures for an aps camera. excellent lens (2.8). Size makes it easy to carry at all times. Has a decent flash and night mode for night shooting. also has a timer which is useful.
Weakness:
landscape shots do not come out very good. red eye reduction does work but make sure people stare at the flash before the pic is taken. It's probably the best aps camera to buy for its price and produces the best picture quality for an aps camera on the market as well. like others have said, don't make this camera into something it's not. it is a snapshot camera. Small size, light weight, and large aperture lens
Weakness:
Red eye reducton function doesn't work well. The camera create a sharp image. Since the red eye reduction doesn't function effectively, I use Kodak Advantix B&W film for this camera. This is a great combination! Similar Products Used: Konica BM-100 |

Strength:
Small and light. Especialy good for backpacking, as compared to my Canon A-1. The APS film loading and unloading on the go is a snap. Lens is fast and sharp, unlike the rest of the P&Ss. Pictures are sharper than Olympus Stylus zoom.
Weakness:
No mid-roll rewinding (even though the guy at Ritz Camera told me otherwise!). Red Eye reduction is useless. Case is plastic and may not survive a fall. Have to watch out not to accindentally put the fingers in front of the range finder. No room to add filters or magnifier lenses (unlike digital P&S). I was hesitent to buy APS camera after seeing the pictures taken by my friend's original Elph. Finally gave up and bought the Elph Jr. because of its faster lens and light weight. Now I'm a believer in Elph. It's part of my backpacking essentials!! Spend the extra $$$ and buy the remote control -- it's worth it. Customer Service Not yet. Similar Products Used: My first APS. Used 35mm Olympus Stylus fixed point, Stylus zoom, Canon A-1 & EF before this. |

Weakness:
Small Buttons to change time, but that's about it. A pro might go with something fancier, but might not. This camera is incredibly tiny, the tiniest out there I think. That is the primary reason to go with this one. Put it in your pocket and pull it out anywhere, that's where most of the "keeper" pics come from anyway. The pics have been sharp, clear and wonderful. Big bang for the buck. Exceptionally good photos for its size and price.
Weakness:
Doesn't really bother me but some people me feel lack of Zoom, or MRC (Mid Roll Change) A very good camera capable of fantastic quality prints. Customer Service Not yet tried Similar Products Used: 1st APS tried but in 35mm, Pentax IQZoom series, Olympus Epic, etc. |
