Amazing optical quality in such a small package, pretty much like an Olympus Stylus Epic. Image quality still apparent when printing panorama shots. The cobra type flash works like silk against red eye. In all, a camera that produces excellent results. Unobtrusive, intuitive and reliable. Couldn't ask for more, if it wasn't for the APS format shortcomings. I only wish it had a bulb setting or an up to 4-second automatic speed. Kodak deserves all praise for this little gem.

Do not be fooled by the camera''s small size. It is not a toy. It produces colorful, sharp, well exposed, focused images. Its quality compares to that of the Olympus Stylus Epic. The T550 also takes great flash pictures; the cobra flash produces zero red-eye. Panorama shots taken with my Canon EOS IX Lite, using the same kind of film, are not any better than those taken with this small wonder. If you are looking for a tiny APS quality camera this is it. You will be amazed. The only thing I would hope the Kodak T550 had is a wider shutter speed range; slower for better Night-view pictures and faster for using ASA 400 film outdoors.

It's a light and pocketable gem with a sharp f/3.5 lens. The viewfinder is friendly to people who wear glasses. Its flip-up flash is good for preventing or reducing "red eye", and it is a rather powerful little flash to boot. A top shutter speed of 1/500th of a second is excellent. The "sleep mode" not only saves on battery power, when you reactivate the camera, your previous settings are saved. The case allows for easy access to the camera, and comes with a convenient belt loop.

Plastic makes me nervous, but it works, and it keeps the camera light. Its slowest shutter speed is 1/4th of a second; one second would have been better, or at least a bulb setting. The flip-up flash can hang-up on loose items.

The T550 is an excellent carry-all-the-time camera that is ready when you need it. Its sharp lens, accurate lightmeter and almost-nonexistent shuter-release delay makes it a good candid camera.

For me, this is what a point and shoot camera should be. It is small, light, simple and quiet. You can just drop a roll of film in and start shooting. There is almost no shutter delay and the flash recharges quickly. The flash offers some useful options. The camera is small and quiet enough to allow you to capture candid shots.

The camera offers the three APS picture sizes, C,H, and P. I shoot mostly in C (4x6) and found that if you want to shoot true panoramas this is not the camera for you.

However, if you want an easy to use, easy to carry, fun camera this would be a strong choice.

This is a great pocket camera! The f3.5 lens, over 200-step focus, and broad exposure options have never been a letdown. Pictures are almost always well exposed and tack-sharp. I have purchased several T550s as gifts for friends. Unless you really need zoom, this is the best APS in the Kodak line.

I wanted a small APS camera to once again try the APS format. I had a Konica that was small and fun to use, but gave it to a coworker. I wanted to try APS now that more labs are offering processing at a reasonable price. I bought this camera, ran a roll of Kodak 200 through it, got the pictures back and nearly fell over. I could not believe how incredibly sharp the pictures, taken both inside and outside, were. The contrast and color saturation were very good. The metering is fairly accurate, although shadows can trick the lens at time. This is a camera everyone needs--it fits in your pocket or on your belt--you won't even know it's there. If it is true that this camera is being discontinued, run--don't walk--to your nearest camera store and buy several.

I really love this camera for trips into NY city where you don't want to draw attention to yourself as a tourist. Very easy to attach to your belt or purse or slip in your pocket. Although there is no zoom in this model I do reccomend it as a good beginner camera. and an excellent vaue for the price.
I was very pleased with the Excellent quality of photo's esp. with the hard to find black and white APS film.
