Strength:

Small, weight

Weakness:

No midroll !

Well if you have problems to carry heavy and big cameras that camera is for you ... Small and tiny ... I can't say that camera has got perfect shots ... If you want perfect shots don't be lazy and take one SLR like Contax or Leica and see perfection .. But this is point and shot camera and I think the best choice in APS section.

Strength:

The size is great for holidays when you want something you can just tuck into a jacket pocket but it hardly justifies spending so much money. Buy a low end SLR instead.

Weakness:

The view finder is a nightmare, even with the diopter adjustment. It's tiny and in poor lighting, I find it nearly impossible to see the image through the viewfinder. If you're not blessed with perfect eyesight, you'll curse this camera.

I also have problems with the panoramic shots. They just never look that good.

Unless you're planning to spend a year living out of your backpack while touring around the world and need to save on space, I wouldn't go with this camera. Buy a good 35mm Point & Shoot for the same price.

Strength:

Small, and light.

Weakness:

Reliability. Slow to switch on. Poor picture quality.

Bought this camera for a year long RTW trip. We particularly liked the "weather-proof" billing and the small size.

We've encountered a number of problems :

- the slide door switches the camera on, and is very fragile. Initially, this caused the camera to switch off in the middle of photos - annoying. Later the entire slide door broke off. We've met others who had the same problem. Is this a design flaw?

- the picture quality is very poor - not sure if this is APS film or the Olympus, but certainly dissapointing compared to previous 35mm point and shoot camera, under a range of conditions, both indoors and out.

- finally, 10 days short of a year, the camera has now developed a short circuit and no longer works - which is a relief. At last we can buy a replacement.

Avoid.
