The Canon's XL1S digital video camcorder features open architecture design, full manual control, and variety of accessories to truly customize your shooting experience. Support for MiniDV and IEEE 1394 standards make the XL1S a flexible video creation tool that interoperates with standard DV equipment and computer editing systems. It is equipped with DV IN/OUT terminal with which you can transfer or copy your videos in pure digital form to your DV compatible computer. Interchangeable lenses and viewfinders allow the XL1S to be tailored for optimal performance in any shooting condition. The XL1S increases the capability of the DV format by using a 3 CCD system with a separate CCD for each primary color. The 3 CCD system makes advanced Pixel Shift (for increased image quality) and Low Light Recording (for increased flexibility) possible.
