Sony MSW-900 Camcorder Camcorders

Sony MSW-900 Camcorder Camcorders

DESCRIPTION

The MSW-900 is a MPEG/IMX format professional camcorder that is native widescreen and switchable to conventional 4:3 aspect. The format is a greatly cost effective solution to HDCAM, Digital Betacam and even Beta SX widescreen field production formats with significantly lower operating costs including tapestock. The camcorder is also significantly lighter in weight than the other format machines. Aimed at the highly charged atmosphere of reality television with copious volumes of pre-edit content, the MSW-900 camcorder, within an entire MPEG/IMX system of DDRs (digital disc recorders that operate as traditional VTRs), non-linear edit bays, and servers, allow for live air, edit and recording simultaneously. Possibly the biggest advantage of the format is that it allows for data transfer at speeds faster than real-time. Additionally the format supports both 60i and 30p originated material- or 50i and 25p in PAL system.
