from B&H Photo Summary: A pretty good back back that's able to fill a lot needs. The padded shoulder straps are pretty comfortable and fit reasonable well thanks in part to the adjustable sternum strap.
The interior of the bag is capable of swallowing my Canon A2E with a 400mm lens attached, several more lenses, a flash, another camera body, filters, plenty of film, and a lunch for the day. There a seperate compartment that's slotted to accept pens, pencils, and a camera manual or small notebook. The thick padding offers pretty good protection for the delicate contents. Removable slot allow you to configure the interior to your own taste.
The exterior features a slot to hold your tripod with a compression flap that adjust to keep the tripod from shifting around. The zipperheads feature small loops that allow you to lock them when they're brought together, though I doubt this would really deter a theft.
The top of the bag features a carrying handle that can be used in the absence of the shoulder straps. There is also a travel flap, which necessitates the use of the carrying handle, that can zip around the shoulder and waist straps for travel. This flap make it easier to stow the bag in an overhead compartment, or it can protect the shoulder strap from the baggage handlers.
The heavy duty nylon offers good protection from abrasion. And the coated rain flap will help protect you equipment from a downpour. However, I would trust the rain flap in anyplace where the term "rainy season" is used. It's probably good for the occassional downpour or shower but I wouldn't push my luck.
My only real problem with this bag is the lack of padding on the waist strap. While it's not terrible uncomfortable, a padded waist strap would probably help with carrying the load.
All in all it's not a bad bag for the photographer who does a little of everything. It allows you to carry a reasonable amount of gear but not too much. For someone looking for a middleweight travel, scenery, or wildlife bag I'd certainly recommend this one. Strengths: Padded shoulder straps Sternum strap Stowable rain cover Locakble Zippers Tripod Slot
Weaknesses: Waist strap isn't padded
