Vested Interest Xtrahand Still Photo Vest

MSRP: $ 169.95

Description: We are a small company that builds our vests one at a time, out of the best materials available. We have three different models. The Still Photo Vest is our original vest which works well for many people. Our brochure and our web site list the dimensions of the pockets. We recommend measuring the equipment you want to carry to determine which vest is best for you. Some of the features on our other vests can be added as an option, like the padded shoulders, or camera strap.

Summary:
Wow !! a strong vest which holds up in long use. I originally used the vest to carry large-format items. I now use it in combat to carry gear. It being made out of rip-stop nylon means it won''t soak water. The padded collar really helps when you load it full of camera glass, or anything else heavy. I had mine with the padded belt, which moved the load lower to my waist, rather my neck. I have since modified it further (spray painted flat-black for stealth, reinforced tabs/seams on pockets, added more nylon tape)

Strengths:
I got more pockets than a lot of my guys who carry other brands. And the bottom pockets have a shape to where they stay open-I don''t have to "fish" for it. I also like how you can adjust the sides, when you have to wear a cold-weather coat, the vest adjusts too. Having the padded shoulder pads and belt made carring the load easier.

Weaknesses:
Need drain holes. I was swimming to my pick-up point, and the pocket were full of sea water. Expensive compared with other photo vests.

Similar Products Used:
domke vest --nice cotton vest ! But not designed for wet/heavy work-best for 35mm weekenders.

Customer Service:
My vest order was delayed, but I was told it was going to be late.
