Strength:

having just bought the 3221 w/3030 QR, i never new what i was missing. this pod rocks, and the hieght is just what i was looking for. can't believe how sturdy Bogen's really are. i like my ballhead for outdoors, but the 3030 head that came with the 3221 really is a lot easier for me to manipulate. Strength:

The main camera section will definitely hold a compact SLR like the Canon Rebel line and also the higher nnD and nD lines. You can pretty easily reconfigure the other compartments to hold various accessories. I have my charger, 70-300mm EF series Canon lense, and a Canon XSi with the 18-55mm kit lense in there and still have plenty of room to add a flash and a couple other lenses if I moved things such as the charger to a different area.

It is very easy to access the camera compartment with the pack still on. Just slip your right arm out and it will swing around your left to allow you to open the side access and get the camera out.

"Security flap" that covers the lower outside zippered compartment. You can also hide the zippers for the main camera compartment under it if you don't need to get to them quickly.

The pack doesn't have a huge storage are for misc. things but the top 1/3-1/2 (somewhere in between there) is storage section that you can put a number of things in. I wanted a pack like this so I could use it not only for the camera gear but as a carry on piece that also does not scream "I am a camera, please steal me". This pack will definitely work.

Weakness:

Compact DSLR's seem to fit a bit loose in the main camera part. I might need to add in extra padding to keep it from moving around.

No tripod holder, though you can apparently fit a small compact one in the upper compartment.

Haven't found any other weaknesses yet.

Great pack for anyone (beginner or Pro) who needs a bag to hold 1-2 SLR bodies and a couple lenses/flashes and accessories.
