Strengths:    I’ll let the readers reach their own conclusions.

Weaknesses:    Certainly these cases do not compare to the Pelicans or the Seahorse. Lighter than the competition, which I initially thought was a strength, but now I think that it is the reason why the lid warped a little and allowed water passage.

    Bottom Line:
During a trip to the rain forest in Costa Rica, my colleagues and I were exposed to torrential rain. All of our photography gear was protected by hard cases of different brands. My beloved Canon 20D and lens were secured (so I though) inside my new Storm Cases (iM2400 and iM 2200). Thanks to an old habit of packing my gear inside large Zip lock bags when traveling to high humidity places, my equipment escaped unscathed from the water I found inside both “watertight” Storm cases. None of the other brand cases, 4 Pelicans and a Seahorse, had any water inside.

    Strengths:    Build Quality and Design.

    Weaknesses:    No locks.

    Bottom Line:
Had a previous branded case and had heard a bit about these new Storms.

Much better body than the other make, and I like the easy catches.

Better foam material, on split levels.

Strengths:    User friendly. Well designed. Quality throughout. Looks the business. Floats better than me.

Weaknesses:    Although it has padlock holes fitted, I would like to see a locking version. I bought the olive colour, but I think a fire red would be great for my GPS and EPERB.

    Bottom Line:
Having tried other cases, and hurt my fingers trying to undo latches, I decided to try the Storm. Boy was I surprised. The Stormcase 2100 which I bought online is great. The quality is first class.
