from Christmas gift Summary:During a trip to the rain forest in Costa Rica, my colleagues and I were exposed to torrential rain. All of our photography gear was protected by hard cases of different brands. My beloved Canon 20D and lens were secured (so I though) inside my new Storm Cases (iM2400 and iM 2200). Thanks to an old habit of packing my gear inside large Zip lock bags when traveling to high humidity places, my equipment escaped unscathed from the water I found inside both “watertight” Storm cases. None of the other brand cases, 4 Pelicans and a Seahorse, had any water inside. Strengths:I’ll let the readers reach their own conclusions. Weaknesses:Certainly these cases do not compare to the Pelicans or the Seahorse. Lighter than the competition, which I initially thought was a strength, but now I think that it is the reason why the lid warped a little and allowed water passage. Similar Products Used:Lowepro soft bags (Pelican in the future). Customer Service:Retailer refused to honor warranty since I have no receipt.
