Unbelievable build quality. These bags are specifically designed for the purpose they are applied to. Longevity and resistance to wear and tear.

Some will shout: "price" however, my view is that a Billingham bag is something you will probably only buy once. I understand that a tatty one can be returned to Billingham for repairs - just like my favourite Barbour jacket - and note please, both are 100% British!

You look at the equipment you wish to cart around with you for a specific task, and you buy the Billingham bag that best suits the gear and you. My bag carries a Nikon F2 Photomic plus 24mm F2.8 NC, 35mm F2 O, 50mm F1.4 S, 85mm F1.8 H. Sekonic Studio-Deluxe incident meter, films, filters, hoods etc and a large Filofax for notes etc. All I need to get the job done.

As with most photographers I have a literal closet full of camera bags. Some too big, others too small, etc. The Billingham is fully functional (waterproof, excellent closures) and has there very interesting "press closure" on their larger models which makes the bag usable on the run with things not flying out.
They don't scream CAMERAS INSIDE which many bags do, the understated canvas looking like many luggage bags on the market today.
Better padded than Domke (great bag however), yet much more comfortable than Lowe Pro style bags. They are expensive, but try one, and like me you'll probably buy two or three others in different sizes.
