Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

Do not waste your money on this

Strengths:

I really liked the way it looked especially with the light up buttons and how small it is

Weaknesses:

It eats tapes and there is no customer service. Just try to navigate the canon website before purchase and you will understand. I couldn't even purchase an after market lens cap because they made the size impossible to find except through canon. The charger prongs broke inside because of how fraile they are. After a year...I am donating it to charity. Please don't fall for the price!

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00 from B&H

Summary:

I have been using this camera for about a year now and have found it to be very easy to operate. Video and sound come out crisp and clear. In bright sunlight it can be hard to see the image on the LCD, but on playback it is always perfect. The zoom is great, and the size/weight make it simple to take anywhere.

Strengths:

Great quality video and sound. Easy to operate. Small and very light-weight.

Weaknesses:

None

Customer Service:

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $899.00 from Dell

Great digital camcorder that has many features. 10X optical 200X digital zoom lense Smart Media Card

Strengths:

Image stablization excellent. Easy to learn menus. 16:9 format for those with large screen TVs. Extended recording time for 3 hours on a 1 hour DV tape. Very light.

Weaknesses:

No software or editing software. Battery that comes with it only lasts one hour with full charge. Recommend BP-535 battery for 8 hours of recording.
