Summary:

Awful Piece of Junk to many modes,to swith to review shot footage is time consuming very disapointrd I also suffer from eo4 nightmare will not pay to have it fixed do not buy this camera

Strengths:

ability to suck hard earned money from your pocket

Weaknesses:

1200 characters is not enough space

Summary:

I thought it was just me having a problem with this camera till I started checking in to it. There are literally hundreds of people with exactly the same problem(s). There is obviously a flaw in this product and JVC will not compensate the people who purchased this piece of *%^&%^*) in any way. So I guess I'm out $1,600 and will have to buy a new camera. -definitely not JVC. I've learned my lesson the hard way.

Price Paid: $550.00 from ebay, new in the box

Summary:

Same Error "operating in safe mode" experience. Very disappointed. Never will buy a JVC camera again. Replaced it already with a $450 Panasonic and am pleased so far. JVC should be ashamed to know of this problem and not offer a recall or offer to fix it or replace it. VERY VERY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. NEVER BUY ANOTHER JVC PRODUCT, EVER!

Strengths:

Great design and idea, --- if it only worked properly!

Weaknesses:

Unreliable.

Similar Products Used:

I own 5 Video camera and the oldest is a Hitachi that is 8 years old. It's still working perfectly and I like Sony the best. I don't know why I decided to try JVC but will never do it again.

Summary:

There is no doubt that JVC cameras like this are defective. I contacted JVC and looked at the website. No information at all about E04 errors. There has been no recall as far as I'm aware

Strengths:

Might prop open a door

Weaknesses:

Outrageously expensive door stopper!

Customer Service:

Won't even look at it without charge. Most reviews suggest that even if it is repaired it won't solve the E04 problem

Summary:

Do not buy this camera at all. I got it repaired (270$ twice) and same error continues. If you experience(d) E04 please email me at bhanubhav@yahoo.com. I am trying to get email list from all unsatisfied customers for JVC GRDVM90U. Let's take some actions for bad expensive and useless product.

Strengths:

good for first month.

Weaknesses:

Space will be limited to list weaknesses.
