Price Paid:  $550.00 from Jessops

Summary:

well built camcorder, easy to operate, multifunction controls easy to use and very accessible, palmcorder fits neatly in palm of your hand (ideal for women) excellent video quality, considering single CCD. useful range of special effects. photoshot feature good in reasonable light.

Strengths:

excellent robust design, easy to use digital special effects, useful image stabalizer. manual control over - exposure/aperture/focus/white balance although auto excellent.

Weaknesses:

photoshot poor in low light - as are most cameras. low battery life if using rec/stop/start and or zoom. Otherwise no other weaknesses.

Similar Products Used:

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $549.00 from Circuit City

Summary:

This by far the best ultra compact camcorder on the market. It fits perfectly in your hand, & it's loaded w/features. The low light performance is mediocre due to the tiny lens. The smaller the lens, the less light it can pick up. It has the Magic Pix feature which is only good for still shooting or still pictures "no camcorder movement" other wise picture will drag. The answer to this low light recording if that's a big part of your shooting is to adjust controls manually. It can make a huge difference. This camcorder will not dissapoint.

Strengths:

Size, design, & performance.

Weaknesses:

Has no nightshot for 0lux recording. Which is usually useless, but some like to have it anyway.

Similar Products Used:

Sony TRV33 which I think is very overpriced. This panasonic has a much better feel & design.

Customer Service:

Havn't had to use it.
