The Sharp VL-PD1U Digital Slimcam has the PD1U's touch-screen 4-inch LCD panel easily lets you specify where to zoom, lock the focus or make exposure adjustments (a unique feature). It also controls configuration and playback commands, which were fairly intuitive. In other areas, too, the PD1U is relatively feature-rich, with white-balance lock, extensive exposure presets and a skip-playback feature that lets you cut and paste up to ten discrete segments when dubbing to a video deck or camera.
