Weaknesses:

Heavy. Poor Landscape shot No more Battery in market. Get the BH-10 Bat. holder if possible

Review 2 of 13

Summary:

This camera was my first encounter with wireless digital photography. The camera was very useful and it was really a good buy when it came out. The 170 Mb hard drive and the 28 mm equivalent lens were wonderful accessories. Rating is done with respect to other cameras in its class.

Strengths:

Huge storage capacity (hundreds or thousands of images when using the hard drive), good resolution (at that time)

Weaknesses:

No LCD, long delay between pressing shutter until the picture was actually taken.

Similar Products Used:

Ricoh RDC 300Z

Customer Service:

Not used.

Review 3 of 13

Summary:

Nice camera when it came out. I mainly used it for close shots, since the quality wasn't quite good enough for other purposes. Quite bulky, but stable to hold at the same time.

Strengths:

Stable, good microphone. Close shots turned out really good

Weaknesses:

Big, expensive, and old. Price is way too much for what it offers.

Similar Products Used:

Several other cameras.

Customer Service:

Never needed any

Summary:

Indeed the Powershot is a fine camera and can still compeed with modern camera's on the market today. However, one design issue that really bothers me is that when you put the camera on a tripod, it covers the plug for the adapter! So no long shooting sessions where the camera needs to remain static.. bummer.Greets Ron(Ps. does anyone know how to turn the 600 into a webcam? I heard it can be done..)

Summary:

I am surprised with the results from this camera, clear shots with good color. No need to go out and spend a lot more money to make it useful.
