Summary:

I've read the above reviews of this camera. First of all I need to ask all of those who posted negative reviews this: What did you Want to do with this camera?A quick glance at the camera will "tell" you that it doesn't have a flash. I can't believe how many post were complaining about no flash!I bought this camera so I could cary around something simple, something not to expensive and take decent pics. I have three other Digicams that are a lot more exspensive than this cam. But I don't like to carry those ever where I go. so this cam fit the pod. I just wanted something cheap, and I didn't expect to get a great resoulution or a freaking flash.I bought this camera new for only 8000 yen, about $80 us dollars. and thats about what I expected the output to be...if your looking for a more serious cam, don't bother with the low price ones.

Summary:

Well, I must confess that I didn't keep this camera very long, at most I think I had it for a month before I became disillutioned, and took it back where I purchased it. So therefore my observation is due a re-evaluation!First and foremost, I think that I rushed in to purchase this item! (There aren't many choices when you are stationed overseas in Italy) At first I was quite pleased with the results, but I confered with some friends, and well when I compared the features and prices with them.....it was a toss back!Things to consider when you buy this camera:-Do I need a flash/and will I ever need one, because this camera has NO FLASH?(very important!)-Could my budget handle about $100 or so to get a better resolution camera?-Can I live with such a small resolution, I think it was like 240x360 or something close to that? (A more liveable one would be at least 640X480!)-And of course the battery life/consuption is very hearty...it loves using up batteries! ----------------------------------------------------------I've taken the QV-70 back to the store, and exchanged it for a Ricoh RDC-300This camera is better adapted for regular snapshot use..... And the price was about $100 more than what I paid for the Casio and it came with all the features that make the Ricoh a camera worth keeping....!
