Summary:

I have had my Casio for almost two years. It was my first digital camera, and many times since I have thanked my lucky stars that it was. For me, it was and is very simple to use. It offeres three settings for the quality of the pictures and subsiquently the # of pictures that it will hold in its memory. I don't have to fool around with memory cards and it is ready when I am.Because of its swivel lens, I can hold the camera at whatever level is comfortable for me, and still capture whatever scene I am hoping to get. All and all, I really enjoy this particular camera.

Strengths:

Swivel lens design. Internal memory. Built in flash.

Weaknesses:

Goes through batteries, and those are 4 aa batteries, but still easy to load and unload.

Similar Products Used:

Have another, but can't remember its brand. Thats how impressed I am with that one. LOL.

Summary:

I picked up a QV-770 on the "scratch and dent" table at Wal-Mart for $100 (open box, open software, missing Mac adapter 1/2 of cable, missing manual (more on that later) but with 14 days to check it out and return if too damaged. The camera itself was in good shape and seems to work as expected. The camera is a July birthday present for my 9 year-old and, after playing with it for the past few days, I am psyched to give it to him. I use a Coolpix 990 and have found that one of my favorite features is its swival lens. My son will now have a camera "just like Daddy's"! The camera model is, of course, 2 years old but at that price how could I go wrong. I like the features it has that my Coolpix does not (panorama fro one) and I am sure my son will love doodling with the titling features. I can't say much about the image quality because I haven't brought any images to my Mac yet.

Strengths:

Ease of use Swival lens Panorama feature In-camera editing

Weaknesses:

Lack of zoom Internal-only memory

Summary:

A great camera for 1st time users, people who want to use a digital camera primarily for the internet or email, or people who just want to screw around with digital cameras without paying that much.

Strengths:

Great automatic settings + manual control for more experienced users. Very compact and lightweight.

Weaknesses:

Included software is weak, ended up using 3rd party product for picture uploading.

Have not had a need to use it as of yet

Summary:

Good camera, very mutifunctional with main use being to use for the web. I suggest other cameras within this price range that might offer more pixel size and the option for additional memory. Although I have had this camera for 2 years the price hasn't really dropped that much. I paid $399 then.

Strengths:

Very multi-functional has a lot of extras, panoramic shots, movie mode, rotating lens. Carry this camera everywhere it has a great "pocket size".

Weaknesses:

Only 640x480 so your limited to using it mainly for web shots. I have printed up to 3.5 x 5 but the picture becomes grainy. Uses 4AA batteries. It does not have a viewfinder only and LCD panel which runs battery life down. You also have trouble viewing your shot in bright sunlight. Have had this camera now for about 2 years only problem noted is the battery compartment latch tends to pop open at times. Limited to onboard memory.

Summary:

For $200 on an auction site this was a reasonable way to enter the digital photo age. I would not recommend this camera due to its lack of removable media and no zoom lens. I still use it to send e mail pictures to friends and familly

Strengths:

Small, lightweight, good for indoor shots, reasonable amount of picture storage, easy editing

Weaknesses:

viewer for out outside pictures is difficult to see, lack of zoom. Software is slow for viewing and downloading
