Review 1 of 11

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Wal Mart

Summary:

Very satisfactory pictures in all areas of photography. Versatile and compact.

Strengths:

Swivel lens, select a shot, wide zoom range

Weaknesses:

No view finder..difficult to see image in direct sunlight...

Customer Service:

after using the camera for about two years it failed to accept the flash card..apparently a damaged card slot. Casio estimated a whopping $250 to repair. The may not even have a repairman since they could ship a new camera for less than this. May have to discard it. Probably only Casio digital cameras un repairable? I wonder.

Review 2 of 11

Price Paid:  $399.00 from microcenter

Summary:

Great camera and I won't purchase another untill they make one the same way! The functionality and usability are the the homeruns for this unit. Once you have used the swivel lens feature you'll never want a camera without it. Takes great shots for a 2.1MP. Manual controls are found only on most 500+ cameras and if you like auto you can use the pre configured modes that come with the camera plus download even more from Casio.

Strengths:

Manual controls - swivel lens - pre config modes - great pictures rivaling any 2 MP - heavy duty 2yrs+ so far - small

Weaknesses:

None with 2900 we just need a 4 or 5 MP model, soon

Similar Products Used:

sony, minolta, panasonic

Customer Service:

Haven't needed

Summary:

Overall a nice camera for those on a tight budget.

Strengths:

The lens itself is pretty good. Best shot Library works well.

Weaknesses:

The flash directly attached to the lens leaves you with overexposed pictures. All pictures suffer from red eyes. Poor body quality. Camera is rather slow.

none

Customer Service:

not needed.

Review 4 of 11

Price Paid:  $299.00 from eBay

Summary:

This camera is an absolute joy to own. The swivel lens comes in handy for hard-to-view spots, over-the-shoulder angles and self-images. It is very comfortable to handle. The quality of the photos are great, especially with the Best Shot feature. Macro abililty is a definite plus. I hope that Casio comes out with newer models like this for those who cannot find the 2900 anymore.

Strengths:

Macro ability. Swivel lens. Huge Zoom factor. Body curvature for steady handling. Best Shot software.

Weaknesses:

Shutter lag time for spontaneous photos and lag time between photos.

Similar Products Used:

Casio QV-10A

Customer Service:

No service needed.
