    Strengths:    Macro-Mode,Great I.Q. Rich Fuji Color. In-camera flash...very effective results.Metering and WB very accurate.

    Weaknesses:    2002 Technology.... LCD screen non-viewable outdoors, Lag time of 3 seconds w/ flash.AF.

    Bottom Line:
    Testing an old forgotten FujiFilm 2 MP GEM. Looking for something stealthy?....no one will even know what this is... :O)

    Strengths:    xD memory card takes less power and is faster than other memory media. Only uses 2 AA rechargeable batteries and they last very well. I have windows 2000 and have had no problems whatsoever using the included software.
    Easy to use controls and power saver features.

    Weaknesses:    LCD screen hard to see in bright light but a problem with most digitals I'm sure.
    Some distant shots out of focus but could be operater error.

    Bottom Line:
    As a first time digital user I am very pleased with the ease of use and quality of the pictures I get with it. It is a great choice for a new digital user or as a backup camera.

    Strengths:    Great Photo Quality for price. 3X optical zoom. Can be used as webcam. Only needs two AAs. Extremely long battery life.

    Weaknesses:    Slow to start up - have to pull open the lens cover AND flip a switch and it takes around five seconds altogether. Then it is slow to process photos - several seconds between shots. Then it takes several seconds to close up - push power slide button, wait for lens to close, then slide cover slow. No portrait modes (landscape, portrait, nightshot, etc). Usual indoors low light issue. Some noticeable distortion at wide angle. Plastic tripod mount thingie makes me nervous-- my 3800 has a metal mount, and I am worried I will break the plastic. We'll see. Like other Finepix cameras, the numbering system resets every time you format the camera, which means you will have problems if you put the pictures into one main folder (I have different folders for each day, so it's usually not an issue for me unless I shoot several times that day, in which case I have to remember NOT to move over the last pic, so it stays on the XD card and preserves the numbering sequence.

    Bottom Line:
    I got the 2650 as a backup to my Finepix 3800 (which I LOVE) and am pleased with the value for the money. The images are of a great quality for 2 megapixels. Many people have talked about Fuji's good color quality, and I agree. The macro mode is ok for the money, the 3x optical zoom is nice, and the camera works well for family photos and normal stuff. In my strengths and weaknesses, I list a lot of stuff under weaknesses, but this is because I am coming to this camera having used the 3800, which is twice as much money with lots of neat options. I looked at other cameras at the $199 range, and the 2650 was the best value for the money.

    Strengths:    * good price/imagequality ratio
    * usable as WebCam
    * sharp longrange images
    * expandable to 128 MB RAM
    * sturdy caseing and lenscover
    * easy and fast worked menusystem
    * pedagogic usersmanual

    Weaknesses:    * Drains batteries fast (get rechargables)
    * AC adapter and carryingbag are sold separately
    * No video out
    * Camera does'nt poweroff when lenscover is shut
    * selftimer preset to 10 sec
    * 24 our timeing (AM-PM only)

    Bottom Line:
    With the help of a ImageEditor and a computer, the washed out colours and the low contrast can be compensated with ease. Overall a nice cam , allthough it lacks a video out for the TV and the dustcover/carryingbag and AC adaptor is sold separately.
