Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $167.00 from AAFES

Summary:

I bought this camera because a buddy recommended it to me! I really like it! The camera I had previous used floppy disks to store the pictures...so I had to take alot of disks if I wanted to take alot of pictures! I really like the memory card this uses and I like the compact size of the camera as well. I take an average of 250-300 pictures a month and this camera has taken the use very well.

Strengths:

Small Size, lightweight compared to other cameras, excellent photo quality.

Weaknesses:

Zoom not very strong.

Similar Products Used:

Sony Mavica FD style cameras. Kodak Digital camera (Didn't like it at all!)

Customer Service:

I've not had any problems with my camera and since it's JVC and I'm Military overseas, we get service free from JVC...a big perk for being in Japan.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $290.00 from www.futureshop.ca

Summary:

Oh man, this camera is SWEET!!! I had read some reviews before I bought it and looked at prices, this was BY FAR the best price I found. This camera has soooooo many features.

Strengths:

CLARITY, Large 2" TFT display, secondary LCD mode/battery screen, compact, sound recording in movie mode, large 16MB card included, HDTV output, When connected to computer a new drive appears and you can delete or rename images on the camera :)

Weaknesses:

Short battery life (I heard about this before I bought it, I have 2 extra batteries on order for $50US incl shipping), mode dial/lock too small (difficult to use), cheap lens cover, no bag included (bought a nice one from Walmart for $6US), included photo software sucks but I have ACDSee 4.0(AMAZING)

Similar Products Used:

none, first camera EVER

Customer Service:

Haven't had to use it, simple enough

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $499.00 from Military BX

Summary:

I have recently upgraded from a 640X480 and it is night to day. I can''t beleive the quality. It is so light, it makes a great astrocam. The sound was a little rough from the video clip, but it is an extra anyway. Love the Removable disk created via USB.

Strengths:

Picture quality even without PRO modes is excellent. Large 2" LCD Easy to use after initial learning curve. Removable disk created on PC via USB. Smartmedia works great with floppy adapter.

Weaknesses:

Need larger SM (32) for the TIFF output. Sound in video slightly distorted.

Similar Products Used:

Sony Mavica Polaroid 640

Customer Service:

Not had to use yet, except download video player for friends PC. Piece of cake
