from Best Buy Summary: Takes lovely pictures and the 4x6 prints are beautiful too. (I haven't gone any larger) in fact, no one could tell the shots were digital. Very clear and colors are true and vivid.
The macro is very good too and I like choosing what type of flash I want.
So easy to use and the video capture is nice too, but I never use it.
I never had the battery problem since I use the view finder instead of the LCD screen. The users manual tells you that the LCD is a huge battery drain.
You can turn it off.
We didn't want to pay for the docking station, but I found it as an "out of box" special at Best Buy and am so happy I got it.
It charges the batteries and I usually leave it plugged in. I haven't bought batteries in the two years I've owned the camera.
I can't imagine a better beginers digital camera. Strengths: Crisp, vivid pictures.
Easy to use.
Menu is simple
Auto timer
Comfortable to hold.
Good software bundle
Macro mode up to 1 in.
Docking station recharges batteries. Weaknesses: Auto compensation for lighting.
Hard to get sunset shots because the camera meters on any objects around and washes out sunsets.
Bit of a delay from when you push the button until it takes the shot. You lose a lot of action shots.
You can meter on the shot, then hold the button down halfway and hold it until you have the shot you want, then push the shutter and there is no delay but it took me a while to figure this out.
Kinda clunky and bigger than some cameras in the 2 MP range, but still fits in my purse. Similar Products Used: None Customer Service: Haven't had to use the customer service, but Kodak online had all kinds of patches and software for these cameras. I got a photo editor there free and they also have digital photography tutorials online.
