Review 1 of 33

Price Paid:  $299.00 from Ubid.com

Summary:

This camera is "worthless" to me now that I have Windows XP and have discovered that there is no new software updates to support it. Why would a "so-called" reputiable company such as Minolta dot this to its customers? My only conceivable answer would be--"The Almighty Buck". I feel like so many other Dimage 2300 users about this camera--Minolta ought to be "ashamed" of themselves, and I strongly feel that each & every one of us who purchased this camera deserves a full refund on this product. Anyone out there for filing some kind of "class action suit" againts Minolta for this travesty?? Pleas let me know as I will be happy to join in on this "quest".

Strengths:

Overall picture quality is okay and it was fairly easy for a novice like me to download the images to my computer using Adobe PhotoShop software that accompanied my camera.

Weaknesses:

I found that switching to the different camera functions was very difficult & I was "constantly" having to refer my manual for instructions. I also found that the battery life was very poor & was quickly depleted in between uses and picture downloads.

Customer Service:

From all the reviews I have read here, I am not the only "dissatisfied customer" of this camera. So I won't expect any answers to my many questions to appear in my email inbox from Minolta anytime soon. I just do not understand how a company such as Minolta can be so irresponisble to its customers, like many of you out there, will "NEVER" purchase another Minolta camera.

Review 2 of 33

Price Paid:  $225.00 from Downtown Miami

Summary:

This product is pure trash. this is a rip-off. I have hardly been able to use this camera for it's driver only operates on an ancient version of windows. Minolta should be ashamed for this crime. Don't buy any minolta product.

Strengths:

Poor, poor, poor

Weaknesses:

Bad quality pictures. Review on your computer is impossible without windows 89. Too expensive. It should be given free of charge with Mac Donald's happy meals.

Similar Products Used:

Canon

Customer Service:

Minolta does not care about this rip-off. They just ignore you if you ask questions about this shameless crime.
