Strength:

The camera sucked...ate batteries and didn't take very good pictures but the software that came with it was awesome....Photomax Image Maker . I have used it for years ...even after the camera bit the dust and was able to get version 4.1.1 and it worked great on my XP for many years but once they quit updating XP I had to update to Windows 7 and it will not work on 7 so am looking for an upgrade or comparable software from ARCSOFT who made the software but having trouble getting them to answer emails and they definitely won't talk to you on the phone so don't guess i will get any help there. Has anyone been able to find an upgrade on the Photomax Image Maker software that will work on Windows 7 pro 64 bit? I would give the software a 5+ for ease of use and lack of problems using it. It had all the features that I needed and I've used it for years. Would like to use it for a lot more years. Wish the camera was as good as the software.

Weakness:

As I said before....ate batteries and didn't take very good pictures but was a good beginner camera.

The best part of this purchase was the fabulous software that came with the camera to improve the photos as they were going to need fixing and the software did a good job. I use my current camera with the software (2014) and the software was still doing a great job. Too bad it doesn't work on Windows7.

Strength:

Easy to use
Never has a glitch or problem
works with any photo types

Weakness:

Wish they had an updated version

I got this software with the purchase of my first ever Polariod Digital MP3 back in 1998! I absolutely love this software... although the camera has long since been replaced... I always download and use the Polaroid PhotoMax software! Its so easy to use and I never have problems with it. I wish they would come out with a newer version... as my old version will no longer install on Windows 7 which makes me very sad!

Polaroid PhotoMax Pro ... I don't even remember which polaroid product this little program came with, but I've been using PhotoMax Pro version 1.0 for almost 15 years and it's still chugging along beautifully. All my other programs on Windows have crashed numerous times but PhotoMax Pro has survived three versions of windows and still works like a charm. It almost seems like a mistake, because windows software is supposed to fail, right? I've tried photoshop and other photo editing software, but I find PhotoMax Pro so much easier and quicker to use and it includes all the features that I actually need. Can you believe it... this software was made in 1994 and still works in 2011 on Vista, and handles the pictures from my new digital camera. And the albums feature is also so easy and reliable.
I can't say enough good things about this software so I'll stop now. The only downside is unless you are an archeologist, it's unlikely that you will be able to unearth PhotoMax Pro because it is so ancient. I hope the latest ArcSoft programs are as good, but frankly until my PhotoMax is no longer compatible, that's what I'll be using!

This is more to agree with instructions for installing the PhotoMax/ArcSoft software. I bought this when I had Windows 98, but was never able to install the software because it wasn't compatible with Windows 98 either even though it says Windows 95 or 98 and is a 1999 copyright. There actually were pictures that turned out. Amazing. I was never able to find anything on the Polaroid website either.

Strength:

EASY To use

Weakness:

Takes a little time to get XP to be compatible.

I too got this software when I had my windows ME computer. I recently purchased a new computer running Win XP Home. I tried to install the program and got the error not compatible with win NT. I got on Polaroid's webpage and got to the support page, went to the xp section and followed the instructions for using XP program compatibility wizard(start>all programs>accessories>program compatibility wizard). Now the program works great!!

Strength:

Great in pre XP era.

Weakness:

don't work in XP

I bought this camera when I had win 98 and it was a great camera for the price. it is not great on close ups. they come out blurry. it does take good normal pictures except for red eye sometimes. BUT!!!XP ended the fun. I built me a new comp with XP and the software did not work.trying to contact the company to get updated software was a hassle. if anyone has solved that problem then drop me a line @ KenSmith1964@hotmail.com

Strength:

Compact, easy to use, easy to down load. uncomplicated

Weakness:

Can not be up graded Should be classified with the Kodac throw away. Miss represented by company

Camra,Photomax Funi Flash, very good camra. Prduced fine quality photos for backup and beginners. Easy to use and down load. Very uncomplicated camra. Used it often with great results I am very disapointed that I can no longer count on the product, not for any good reason, but because the folks at poaroid chose to leave the consumer hanging with an un-up-gradable product for the fastest changing markit in the world. I know it is not because you don't know what you are doing, so I can only assume it was done on purpose. To pockit a few dollars But is it worth it when the consumer never buys another Polaroid product. I have bought my last polaroid product. (unless you can show me one good reason why I should change my mind.

Customer Service

There is no customer Service for this product. E-mail address seems to be a fraud. 1-800 number a joke
